The Pursuit of Natural Beauty with the Beloved one

In general, me and my husband, we were very pleased with China Discovery. From airport or train station pickup or drop off, everything ran smoothly and all that hassle free. For the day touring, everything has been taken care of, we just need to follow the guide!  Hotels accommodations are nice, good locations, excellent breakfast....for both Chinese and western people. I think ! Food for lunch I think could be better for this kind of 4* tour.

I has been almost a month since we came back from China but we're still thinking about the beautiful places we saw in China and still looking at thousands of pictures & video clips... Such unforgettable memories of a lifetime! We are thinking of going back to China to visit other places in a near future.

Efficient Travel Consultant – Wonder

The travel consultant was very fast and efficient in handling all my "numerous" requests. Since this was our 1st trip to China, we had a hard time to decide which cities to include in our 14 day trip. After various emails back and forth, finally we came up with an itinerary which covered Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Huangshan, Xian and Beijing. The travel agent was patient enough and took time to answer to all my queries / concerns on the trip.

In general, all the tour guides were all great, helpful, knowledgeable (on Chinese history).

Shanghai: Mr. Yao is a nice tour guide. He only tried to do his best to explain to us all the history of Shanghai. I personally had a bit of difficulty to hear / understand Mr Yao's English. He got such a loud voice, making us feel uncomfortable when visiting the Temple and with a lot of other groups of people listening. I would suggest that, when the place is too crowded, it's better to use individual headphones and the tour guide just speak normally on his microphone. That case, we are not disturbing other tourists groups and we could hear better too. Besides his loud voice, Mr Yao is very helpful. Like when we took the Hangpu River Cruise, he came along with us on the cruise even that was a long day for him.  Lunch at Yu Bazaar not so good! Sometimes I am wondering if the street food are much better. The location of Hotel Sunrise on the Bund is very good, close to metro station. Our room has a pretty view of the Oriental Pearl Tower. We had a free day in Shanghai, so we took the metro to go Xiantandi and Nanjing Road.

Suzhou: Jason English very good. Lunch so so....3 vegetable dishes.... We were lucky for being able to watch Chinese dancers at the Lingering Garden at the time of visit I wish we had more time at the Pinjiang Road to taste different street food. Snowy Sea Hotel was very nice. Breakfast was excellent.

Hangzhou: Leedan is very fast. Knowledgeable about West Lake.  Booked us last minute Impression show at Hangzhou West Lake. Impression Show is a must see when visiting Hangzhou. Helped us to exchange some money at Bank of China. Had late lunch with her at a restaurant at the XXX temple. Lunch was good (mostly vegetarian). Xinan Garden Hotel was nice with beautiful landscape around.

Huangshan: I can say that Huangshan was the highlight of our trip. The views of the Yellow Mountain were fabulous, amazing that no words can describe it.

The first day when we got there it was sunny so Jerry, the tour guide has pushed us to complete all the hiking in the afternoon. And we were glad that we did as rain was forecasted for the next day. We were able to see the clouds up in the mountains, absolutely breathtaking scenery as we see in Chinese paintings. Then it starts raining at night and the following day. Due to the rain, we could not see the sunrise the next morning. Despite 15000 steps up and down, we are glad that we were able to hike most the peaks outlined in our itinerary. Thanks to Jerry!!!  "Without your push, we would not have seen such amazing spots and had many fantastic photos of Yellow Mountain".

Jerry is an excellent tour guide. Speaks very well English. Very professional, meticulous. Detail oriented. Knowledgeable. Highly recommended when touring Huangshan Yellow Mountain. Very good restaurant recommendation for dinner in Tunxi Old Street & also at the foot of the mountain for lunch (Fish soup),

Xinan Country Villa Hotel was nice, walking distance to Tunxi Old street along the canal.

Beihai Hotel was ok as it's located up in the mountain. Breakfast was ok. Again no complaint as everything has to be carried up to the mountain by porters. Spectacular view in front of the hotels! Thanks for Jerry's advice to bring some snacks with us as food was very expensive and not good there.

Xian: Sue is nice, very knowledgeable on Terra Cotta and Xi'an history. The Muslim Street was interesting. Too bad that we didn't have much time to taste the Muslim food. Had lunch at a very nice Hotel, which I don't remember the name.

Beijing: Vivian & Emily on the last morning. The Great Wall was another highlight of our trip! In 2 1/2 days, we were able to cover all the main attractions in Beijing, namely The Mutianyu Great Wall, Ming Tombs, Tianamen Square & Forbidden City, Temple of heaven, and Summer Palace. Vivian and Emily, they are both very nice and speak very well English.

Beijing International Hotel was nice. Good location. Close to Beijing Railway station, but very crowded. Breakfast was good. Our room has pretty view of sunrise every morning.
