Adult Giant Panda Photos
The average age for adult giant pandas is during 5.5 - 16.5 years old. They are fully mature and able to breed at six years old. The rate of reproduction is about one cub every two years, with gestation taking 3-5 months. Panda lovers can see the adult pandas breeding their little babies pandas in the late summer or early autumn in both Chengdu Panda Base or Ya’an Bifengxia Panda Base!
The adult pandas measure around 1.2 to 1.9 meters long, including a tail of about 10-15 cm and 60 to 90 cm tall at the shoulder. Male pandas can weight up to 160 kilograms and while female pandas can weight as little as 70 kilograms, but can also weight up to 125 kilograms. The average adult panda weight is 100 to 115 kg.
