I requested some Daoxiangcun snacks from a friend who just went to Hong Kong and they forgot to bring them back. (They did manage to remember I asked for a snack and brought back several bags of flavored nuts.)
Not exactly the type of snack I wanted. I had asked for some Jujube flower snacks, maybe some Tang Yuan if possible, or even one of those snacks that looks like a frtter with fruit.
Does anyone know if you can purchase any Daoxiangcun cookies in the USA or if they are available for purchase online?
Thanks!

Dude, I never gave up the afternoon snack, personally. I hope that makes me extra-humane. I love the phrase "cake carnage"!!

Hi Christine, thanks for trying these out and describing how each of them tasted. Chinese pastries were not my cup of team, so I never bothered to see what they were selling. Now I have a better idea of what these pastries are like & would probably buy them back for my Singapore friends. ^^

I just discovered Daoxiangcun a few months ago (how had I missed it for so long?) and love it! My favorite so far is 凤梨酥 (the pineapple kind), but I haven't had all the ones you tried.

how informative and lovely. reminds me of a line that made quite an impression on me and that was seared into my mind from this recent trip: "wouldn't you like to try a japanese confection?" printed on a sign. reading this post made me think " wouldn't you like to try a chinese confection?"

I like the pastries on grass. nice touch!

hmm, I've been thinking about hosting a tea tasting as part of our Grand Opening festivities and maybe i should have a tea tasting with these pastries, i mean Chinese confections...
