How to Get to & Around Guiyang

• Location: Zunyi Road, Nanming District, Guiyang City (贵阳市南明区遵义路)
• Distance from Guiyang City Center: about 5km away from the city center

Guiyang Railway Station, the only one train station in Guiyang is located in Guiyang downtown. It operates four railway lines: Liuzhou-Guiyang railway, Guiyang-Kunming railway, Zhuzhou-Guiyang railway and Chongqing-Guiyang, connecting cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guilin, Kunming, Chongqing and more. You could embark on a bullet train from to Guiyang to appreciate the natural sceneries and wonderful ethnic culture of local minorities.

And in Guizhou Province, Guiyang Railway Station still offers tourist trains of Guiyang-Liupanshui (Huangguoshu Waterfalls) and Guiyang-Yuping (Mount Fanjing). Guiyang North Railway Station

• Location: Near West 2nd Ring, Guanshanhu District, Guiyang City (贵阳市观山湖区西二环附近)
• Distance from Guiyang City Center: about 9km away from the city center

Served as the high speed train station, Guiyang North Railway Station is located 6km from Guiyang city center, and 11km from Guiyang Railway Station and 21km from the Longdongbao International Airport.

Transfer Tips: There are 6-8 buses for travelers to take to get to city center of Guiyang, or independent visitors could also choose metro line 1 to get to Guiyang downtown. If you take a taxi, it would take 15-20 minutes for driving 8.5-10 kilometers.

Guiyang East Railway Station

• Location: East 2nd Ring, Wudang District, Guiyang City (贵阳市乌当区东二环)
• Distance from Guiyang City Center: about 14km away from the city center

Guiyang East Railway Station is the intermediate station of Shanghai-Kunming high-speed railway, as well as the starting and ending station of Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed Railway, Guiyang-Kaiyang Intercity Railway and Chongqing-Guizhou Railway. Many G trains, D trains and C trains would reach Guiyang East Station from the nearby Kaiyang (about 2 trains during 08:30~16:30, for about 50 minutes), and other cities like Chongqing (more than 20 trains during 09:30~20:00, for 2.5 hours), Guangzhou (about 20 trains during 12:00~21:00, for 4.5-5.5 hours).

Despite there is only 1 metro line running in Guiyang City, it can still take you to some important sites in Guiyang downtown, such as Guiyang North Railway Station, Spray Pond (Guiyang City Center) and Guiyang Train Station. Moreover taking a metro can also save you from the troublesome traffic jam in Guiyang.

There are two kinds of price charge during 06:30 to 22:00(daytime) and 22:00 to 06:00(nighttime). In the daytime, the starting price is 8 yuan (including 3 kilometers), after 3km, additional 1.6 yuan for one kilometer, after 5km, additional 2.4 yuan for one kilometer; in the nighttime, 10 yuan is the starting price, after 3km, additional 1.92 yuan for one kilometer, after 5km, additional 2.88 yuan for one kilometer.

By Bus

Tourists can take self-service buses in Guiyang city for only 2 yuan each person. Like No. 1/2 buses are running between the railway station and Qianling Park; No. 38 buses can take you to Flower Stream scenic area (Tianhe Pool).
