Zhengzhou

Zhengzhou East Railway Station

Address: Xinyi Road, Jinshui District, Zhengzhou (郑州市金水区心怡路郑州东站); driving about 18km to the downtown about 120km to Shaolin Temple.

Transportation: It is available to get to/from Zhengzhou East Railway Station by public bus as well as metro Line 1 and metro Line 2. Take metro Line 1 and you can reach Erqi Memorial Tower and Yellow River Scenic Area. It needs 30 minutes’ driving to Henan Museum and 1.5~2 hours’ driving to Shaolin Temple.

Note: Most of the high speed trains to Xian from Zhengzhou are operated by Zhengzhou East Railway Station.

Zhengzhou Railway Station

Address: No. 82, Erma Road, Erqi District, Zhengzhou (郑州二七区二马路82号) in the downtown area, about 35km to Yellow River Scenic Area and 90km to Shaolin Temple.

Transportation: Metro Line 1 and several public buses are accessible to take you to Erqi Memorial Tower. You can reach Yellow River Scenic Area from Zhengzhou Railway Station by sightseeing bus No. 16. Driving to Shaolin Temple takes about 1.5 hours usually.

Luoyang

Luoyang, located in western Henan Province, was one of China’s four capital cities together with Xian, Beijing and Nanjing. As one of the main cradle of Chinese Civilization, Luoyang enjoys numerous historical and cultural relics. One of the most attractive sites is the incredible Longmen Grottoes. Carrying over 1,500 years, Longmen Grottoes constitute one of China’s precious surviving masterpieces of Buddhist rock carving. You can appreciate the Buddhist art by visiting the major caves, including Guyang Cave, Fengxian Temple, Bingyang Caves, etc. White Horse Temple is also another top attraction in Luoyang for travelers. With a history of over 1,900 years, White Horse Temple is the first surviving Buddhist Temple in China. Spending at least 2 hours there, you can have a nice time.

Luoyang Longmen Railway Station

Address: Intersection of Tongqu Road and Xingluo East Street South, Zhengzhou (洛阳市洛龙区通衢路与兴洛东街交叉口南洛阳龙门站); about 10km to the city center, about 10km to Longmen Grottoes and about 30km to White Horse Temple.

Transportation: Several Public buses can take you from Luoyang Longmen Railway Station to Xigong District or Longmen Grottoes. The whole bus trip takes about 1 hour. Driving is the best way travel to White Horse Temple from Luoyang Longmen Railway Station. It takes about 40 minutes.

Huashan

Mount Hua, also called Huashan, is famous for its dangerous hiking routes. Hiking in Huashan always takes 1 ~ 2 days. The accommodation on the mountain is not good, so you are suggested spend 1 day on Huashan hiking. Firstly, take the cableway from East Gate to North Peak. When the cableway goes up, you can admire the wonderful scenery of mountain. Upon arrival, turn to East Park and feel the spectacular landscape on the way. After that, visit South Peak. If you are the one who loves adventure, you can’t miss the fearsome path – a plank road with a length of 4 meters and a width of 0.3 meter. After you finished the dangerous trail, go to lotus-shaped West Peak.

Huashan North Railway Station

Address: North side of Huayue Avenue, Huayin City, Shaanxi Province (陕西省华阴市华岳大道北端).

Transportation: Huashan North Railway Station is about 3km away from the city center of Huayin City and about 5km away from Mount Hua Scenic Area. You can take a public bus to Mount Hua directly or take taxi instead.

Xian

Xian North Railway Station

Address: Lijiajie Village, Weiyang District, Xian (西安市未央区李家街村西安北站); about 20km to the downtown (Muslim Quarter, Shaanxi History Museum and Big Wild Goose Pagoda), about 15km to Ancient City Wall and 50km to Terracotta Warriors.

Transportation: Many travelers prefer accommodating at the downtown area near Muslim Quarter. You can take metro Line 2 from Xian North Railway Station to Bell Tower directly. The driving from Xian North Railway Station to Terracotta Warriors takes about 1 hour.

1. Seats choosing & price comparing

On Zhengzhou Xian high speed trains, there are three types of seats: the "Business Class Seats" like the first class seat in an aircraft and the most comfortable and expensive, with the price of 789RMB per person, the "First Class Seats" of the middle class of 382RMB per person and the "Second Class Seats" of the most economical class of 239RMB per person.

2. Booking & collect your bullet train ticket

To book a Zhengzhou Xian high speed train ticket, you could choose to book it at the official website: China Railway Customer Service Center or with a travel agency, also you could directly tell China Discovery to book the tickets for you. Besides, you could go to the Railway Station or Designated Ticket Offices to do that.

To collect your high speed train ticket, you could go to the railway station nearby, however, the Self-service Ticketing Machines are not serving foreign people. Besides, you can tell China Discovery to help you to do the collection, which only needs your passport information.

3. How to embark the bullet train?

1) Prepare your documents well (valid passport with China Visa); 2) Get to the right train station in advance; 3) Collect train tickets; 4) Read your train ticket; 5) Pass the security control; 6) Pass through Security & Luggage Checks; 7) Find the right waiting room; 8) Cross the ticket checking gate; 9) Get to the right platform; 10) Get on your train. Keep the ticket well, because the ticket will be checked again to leave the station after you get off.
